Prior to joining YWCA Metro Vancouver Janet served as executive director of Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland. She has also served as director of development services for BC Housing, where she oversaw the development of the province's social housing for seniors and families, as well as transition housing, homeless shelters, and group homes for people with disabilities.
Janet is a recipient of the Business in Vancouver Influential Woman in Business Award, the Vancouver Board of Trade Community Leadership Award, the Queen's Jubilee Medal, the SFU Beedie School of Business BASS Award and the Big Sisters Big Heart Award for outstanding contribution by a volunteer. In 2008, she was named to the WXN (Women's Executive Network) list of Canada's 100 Most Powerful Women.

Roni Cahen and Bev Superle are instructors in the Burnaby Community and Continuing Education Early Childhood Education program. They have studied the approach of the schools of Reggio Emilia for many years and have visited these early childhood centres in Italy twice.
Both Roni and Bev have sought ways to make Reggio inspired practice a reality for the many adult students and ECE practitioners with whom they work.

Melanie Choiniere is a bilingual Case Manager at Career Zone where she provides clients help with job search and career exploration in French and English. Melanie graduated with a BA in Psychology from McGill University. Prior to YWCA Vancouver, Melanie worked in Montreal as an employment counselor assisting young adults between the ages of 18 to 23. Melanie also coordinates an athlete mentorship program in collaboration with the First Nations Snowboard Team and PacificSport.

Christine Younghusband earned her BA in Social Sciences from Trinity Western University. For eight years she has worked in YWCA Vancouver's employment services department assisting clients achieve both their short and long term employment goals by providing one-to-one job search support, referrals to external agencies, assistance when applying for government funded training to return to school, and career exploration.
In addition, Christine is a member of the employee recognition committee at YWCA, and is currently enrolled part-time in BCIT's Human Resource Management program.
