August 23, 2010 - Crossing the water from his General Manager's post at The Fairmont Orchid, Mr. Pullan leaves the sunny Big Island of Hawaii for the cosmopolitan city of Vancouver. He takes over the reins from retired General Manager, Francis Parkinson at one of four Fairmont properties located on the West Coast amidst the spectacular mountains and the sea.
With over 27 years of experience within the hospitality industry, Mr. Pullan brings a wealth of knowledge and new perspective to The Fairmont Waterfront. His past senior operations positions with several global brand hotel groups will serve him well as he takes the team at The Fairmont Waterfront forward with a commitment to the outstanding guest services that have become a cornerstone of this property.

A graduate from Galway Hotel Management School, with a Diploma in Hotel & Catering Management, Ian Pullan joined the Hotel Conrad Dublin as Assistant Front of the House Manager in 1990. In 1992, he transferred to St. Martin in the French West Indies as Front Office Manager with La Belle Creole (a Conrad Hotel).
Ian joined the Los Angeles Hilton & Towers as Director of Front Office Operations in 1994 and was appointed Director of Front Office Operations with Omni Los Angeles Hotel & Center (formerly Los Angeles Hilton) in 1995. A year later, Ian was promoted to Director of Rooms at the property and returned to Dublin in 1998 as Deputy General Manager (Operations) with Jurys Hotel & Towers.
In 1999, Ian relocated to the sunny climes of Bermuda as Director of Operations at The Fairmont Hamilton Princess, where he held that position until 2002 when he was appointed to Hotel Manager for The Fairmont Royal York. In 2003, Ian was promoted to General Manager, The Fairmont Kansas City at the Plaza and in 2005, he was appointed as the General Manager, The Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii.

April 25, 2007 - The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver welcomed seasoned hotelier Rick Corcoran as Hotel Manager, replacing Dan McGowan who moved to Fairmont's Airport property as G.M.
After receiving a diploma from the Institut du Tourisme et d'Hôtellerie du Quebec, Rick began his career with Fairmont in 1989 as Second Cook, Fairmont Le Château Frontenac in Quebec City.
In 1991 he joined Hilton Hotels, where he held several positions with the Quebec Hilton, including Assistant Chief Steward/Beverage Supervisor and Assistant Executive Housekeeper. In 1993 Rick returned to the Fairmont brand where he held several progressive positions at Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, including Outlet Supervisor and Outside Catering Manager.
In 1997 Rick transferred to The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise as Catering Manager and in 1998 he was subsequently promoted to Banquet Manager. Rick returned to Quebec in 1999 as Director, Food & Beverage, Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu and in 2002 again returned to Fairmont Le Château Frontenac as Director, Food & Beverage.
Rick joins The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver from his most recent position as Director, Food & Beverage at The Fairmont San Francisco.

Kevan J. Ridgway is President and CEO of Vancouver, Coast & Mountains Tourism Region, a role he has held for 16 years. A not-for-profit society, Vancouver, Coast & Mountains is governed by a private sector board of directors who represent business and community tourism interests throughout the region.
Mr. Ridgway has gained extensive experience in Canada's tourism industry, beginning his career as a general accounting supervisor of Holiday Inns. He soon became general manager of Hospitality Services, providing marketing and management services to several hotels and resorts in Ontario.
He decided to move into the not-for-profit sector to support tourism businesses and excelled in his position as Executive Director of Attractions Ontario. In 1994, Kevan J. Ridgway moved west and joined Vancouver, Coast & Mountains as Executive Director.
Under Mr. Ridgway's leadership, Vancouver, Coast & Mountains Tourism Region continues to develop relationships with communities and businesses, assisting them on an individual basis to enhance their marketing activities and draw more visitors to the region.
