Jim is co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of QuickMobile. He is a veteran of both the personal computer revolution as well as the Internet revolution, with a colourful career spanning over 30 years in high technology R&D. During this time, he has participated in five startups, of which two he personally co-founded.
Jim's last startup venture was Vienna Systems, a pioneer in VoIP that was successfully acquired by Nokia in 1998. As part of this, Jim accepted the position of Chief Architect at the Nokia Mobile Phones Product Creation Centre in Vancouver with responsibility for leading the growth of the nascent site from 35 to over 400 people in less than four years. Prior to that role, Mr. Pederson served as Director of the Control Systems Security Program within the NCSD, leading the development of vulnerability assessments, tools, and training for control systems owners and operators to include standards and best practices.
Previously, he was the Infrastructure Protection Program Manager for the Technical Support Working Group (TSWG) at the US DoD.
At the TSWG, Mr. Pederson was responsible for leading research and development initiatives and new technology programs to improve critical infrastructure protection and cyber-security. Highly recognized for his contributions to the industrial cyber-security community, he received the 2006 SANS Process Control / SCADA Security leadership Award.
Mr. Pederson holds a Masters of Science, Information Security Analysis, from the University of Fairfax and a Bachelor's of Science, Business Information Systems, from the University of Phoenix.

Mr. Kaczor started his career as a computer systems engineer prior to moving into sales. He holds a B.S.E. from the University of Michigan, College of Engineering.

Tom's interest in computing began at a young age growing up in Northern BC hacking his Apple IIE to customize his UI; he has grown his interest into a career. After earning his Engineering degree from UBC, he designed a subdivision in his first project as a Civil Engineer.

Earning a reputation as trusted advisor, Carol has been leading multimedia and web-based projects since early 1995. Her many successes are a result of her strong leadership skills, her unflappable management skills, and her ability to really listen, understand, and communicate her clients' needs. A member of Habañero's Leadership Team, Carol is the Group Leader for the Solution Specialists.
Prior to joining Habañero in 2000, Carol managed the team that delivered all marketing and product support materials in five languages for ACL Services, a Vancouver-based software and services provider. She was a founding board member of the International Internet Marketing Association and has presented on numerous Internet-related topics.
Carol holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science from the University of Ottawa, and is a graduate of the Multimedia Production program of Vancouver Community College and the Internet Marketing program of the University of British Columbia.
When not working, Carol enjoys spending time with her young family and tries very hard to tame the jungle in her backyard.

January 14, 2008 - Stockgroup Information Systems announced Karl Buhr has joined Stockgroup as Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Buhr is an accomplished Chief Operating Officer, formerly from Telemedia, a provider of mobile content on wireless carrier platforms that target wireless subscribers. Mr. Buhr helped lead the company to a 400 percent increase in revenue and its recent sale to Conectium Ltd.
Prior to Telemedia, he was the Director of Operations for 365 Plc. (now operating as Eckoh Plc.), an internet and media direct response company, which grew from $12 million in revenue to $90 million during his tenure. 365 Plc. built one of Europe's largest sport information sites, Football365.com, and was a pioneer in direct response advertising in television programming. During his 20 years of experience in a wide range of roles and industries, he has demonstrated repeated success at fast growing businesses.
At Stockgroup, Mr. Buhr will be responsible for directing all aspects of the organization's operational strategy and tactics. Keith began his distinguished career in the software development industry over ten years ago. He has extensive experience developing J2EE and XML based solutions, including the development of Content Management and Portal systems. Keith previously held the position of Chief Technical Officer for a software development firm based in South Australia developing a web based e-logistics solution.
