After obtaining an Honours degree in Zoology from the University of Toronto, Dr. Wang graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in 1990. He is a general practitioner providing a wide range of individual and family health services to people of all ages.
Dr. Wang is a strong advocate of the value of prevention in healthcare. In addition to specializing in preventive medicine, he has specialties in ozone and chelation therapy, and is certified in Anti-Aging Medicine by the American Board of Anti-Aging Health Practitioners. He also established Canada's first out-patient clinic for the natural detoxification of patients with a history of substance abuse or occupational toxic exposure.
Dr. Wang served as president of the BCNA (www.bcna.ca) for five years, and is a Founder and past Chair of the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine.
He has a general family practice where he utilizes comprehensive science-based diagnostic methods, such as laboratory blood and biochemical testing, to enable him to effectively find and treat the root causes of disease.
He specializes in preventive medicine, including bowel disorders, cardiovascular disorders, immune disorders (such as allergies, infectious and auto-immune conditions), heavy metal toxicities, rehab medicine (laser therapy), environmental illness, substance abuse and addictions.

Sophia comes from Mauritius, a small island in the Indian Ocean, where she worked at a Human Resources Consultancy firm as Recruitment Selection Manager. She is perfectly fluent in both of Canada's official languages. When she first moved here, she taught French.

Louise is a classically trained musician from the UK. She started her musical journey at 3, when her mother taught her how to play recorder, and she still remembers the first time she ever visited a music school at the age of 5, heard beautiful unfamiliar sounds emanating from every room, and thought: “I want to live here!"
She grew up near London and earned scholarships to study cello and piano at Trinity College of Music, before obtaining her music degree from the University of Leeds. She spent a lot of time in New York, where she was Head of the music department at a performing arts camp. She lived in Scotland for 7 years, where she managed a community arts venue, alongside teaching music lessons, performing in bands and musical directing.
Louise moved to Canada in 2010, and very much enjoys her job as Registrar for the VSO School of Music, as it combines her loves of music, connecting with people and organizing! She looks forward to meeting all prospective students, and welcoming them into the VSO School community.

Originally from Los Angeles, Shaun earned a Bachelor of Music degree in tuba performance from the University of Southern California, and a Master of Music degree in tuba performance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
He has worked as the Music Program Manager of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Peck School of the Arts, the Outreach Program Coordinator for the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, kindergarten through Grade 8 Music Teacher at the Central City Cyberschool of Milwaukee and as a freelance musician.
Now a dual citizen, Shaun was the Principal of the Chilliwack Academy of Music from 2004 to 2009 and has served as the President of the BC Association of Community Music Schools since 2007. Shaun is happily married to his wife Niki and in his spare time, enjoys reading, playing and singing with his two daughters, ages 1 and 2.

J.D. comes from an academic and literary background. He studied English and Philosophy at university, and has been a professional poet since 1992.
His poems have been published in books with great Canadian writers like Margaret Atwood, Leonard Cohen and bill bissett (yes, bill spells his name in the lower case).
He has lectured on poetry topics in high school and univeristy classrooms, and has taught ESL and TEFL/TESOL for many years. He has taught in the Middle East, Asia and North America.
