Mohammed Hasham joined the PMO at Genome BC in August 2008 as a Research Program Manager, working on Applied Genomics and Translational Health projects.
Mohammed brings significant project management, business development and analytical research experience from his multiple roles in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, as well as from several years of academic research.
Mohammed graduated from the combined MBA/CMA degree program at Queen's University in 2003. In addition, he holds an MSc. in Experimental Medicine (Neurology) from the University of British Columbia, where his research focused on the molecular pathology of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and spinal cord injuries.

As Chief Information Officer, Greg is responsible for the overall IMIS strategic objectives and operational plans to support Vancouver Coastal Health and Providence Health Care.
He provides the vision and leadership for the development and implementation of IMIS initiatives, while looking to achieve optimal and cost effective use of available technologies. He also monitors changes and trends in IMIS, together with his colleagues at the provincial CIO Council. Greg has been part of the IMIS team since December 2003.
Throughout his 33 year career in Information Technology, Greg has led staff through a number of significant design, build and implementation projects.
Prior to joining Vancouver Coastal Health, Greg was a senior partner with James Laurence Group, a communications and technology consulting company and for six years managed many large-scale complex IT implementations across Canada. Greg has directed a significant IT Solutions delivery division for a major systems integrator and was the Director of Information Services for Westcoast Energy for a period of five years.

Dr. David Ostrow, Vice-President of Medical & Clinical Innovation, has also filled the roles of Chief Information Officer for Vancouver Coastal Health (2002-2003) and Vice President of Clinical Services for Vancouver Hospital & Health Sciences Centre (1997-2001) which became part of the Vancouver/Richmond Health Board which became part of the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority.
Dr. Ostrow is also a Professor at the University of British Columbia in the Department of Medicine and a practicing respirologist with a special interest in pulmonary hypertension. Sally Greenwood brings over 18 years of experience in the non-profit, health care and social services sectors. Most recently she was the Director of Communications for Community Living BC (Crown Agency). She also held senior positions with BC Transplant and the BC Centre for Disease Control, agencies of the Provincial Health Services Authority.
Prior to her move to the field of transplantation and public health, Sally worked for the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, BC Division as the Director for Development and Communications. Her communications experience spans government and stakeholder relations, marketing communications and educational and program development. Much of her focus over the last few years has been in the area of strategic change communications as she participated directly in major health care and social service reorganizations.
She attended the University of British Columbia where she completed an undergraduate degree in English before attending Ryerson Polytechnic University in Toronto to continue with graduate studies in journalism.

Doug Nelson was appointed President & CEO of the BC Cancer Foundation in June of 2009. He comes to the position with an outstanding track record of health care philanthropy and reputation for building sustainable revenue generating programs to advance research and clinical care.
Most recently Doug served as Chief Development Officer & Associate Vice President, External Relations at the University of Alberta where he led the successful conclusion of Campaign 2008, the second largest fundraising campaign of its kind in Canadian history. He began his time at the University of Alberta at the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry as the Assistant Dean, External Relations. In that role he was integral in securing more than 30 endowed chairs to support basic, clinical and translational research. Through partnerships with the private and not-for-profit sectors, Doug and his team innovated new ways to leverage donor and government funds to advance the research enterprise at the Faculty.
Prior to his time at the U of A, Doug was at the University of British Columbia for nearly eight years, culminating as the Director of Development for the Faculty of Medicine. Despite living outside of B.C., Doug has maintained strong connections to the B.C. health care community and the outstanding work being conducted at the BC Cancer Agency.
Born in Chicago, Doug was raised in Alberta. He has degrees from the University of Calgary and the University of British Columbia.
A frequently invited speaker and commentator on health care philanthropy, Doug is highly motivated to strengthen the Foundation's support of the BC Cancer Agency as a world leader in cancer research and care.

Prior to her appointment as Executive Director in March 2003, Filomena was Director of Programs and Services, a position that gave her the lead responsibility for Canuck Place's clinical programs. Fil has a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in nursing, and has focused on pediatrics and palliative care for more than 25 years.
Besides her clinical nursing experience, she has taught at several universities in both British Columbia and Alberta and currently holds an adjunct appointment with the Faculty of Nursing at the University of British Columbia.
She is an Executive Committee member of the Children's International Palliative Project - a committee of the National Hospice Palliative Care Organization. She is co-chair of the Canadian Network of Palliative Care for Children, an arm of the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association.

April 2, 2008 - BCNET announced the promotion of Clarence Lee as Manager of Client Services. In his new role, Clarence will be actively engaged in increasing the provincial research and education community's use of and connectivity to BC's new 10 gigabit per second optical network.
He will oversee all BCNET member needs pertaining to the use of advanced networks and he will encourage local communities to peer with research and education members at BCNET's five transit exchanges (Vancouver, Victoria, Kelowna, Kamloops and Prince George).
Clarence has been working with BCNET for the past three years and brings extensive experience in business management and customer relationship management. His economics degree from Simon Fraser University and his five years of experience in the private sector have enabled him to excel in client relations.
His experience has been focused on assisting organizations with developing and executing their business objectives with a key focus on business development, customer service, sales, marketing, and project management.
