He also develops innovative strategies to support mental health education and awareness.
With Bruce's solid understanding of today's organizational health issues, he is often sought out for his knowledge and expertise in the future direction of employee assistance. Judith has over 20 years of experience in the employee health and wellness arena. She has been with the firm since 2006. In her role as Vice President of Strategic Growth, she heads a team of national sales and marketing professionals. Judith's background is a unique blend of clinical, account management and business development expertise. She has worked both as a certified trauma counsellor and substance abuse professional. She is a former board member of the Employee Assistance Program Association of Toronto (EAPAT), and currently sits on the Board of the Employee Assistance Society of North America (EASNA).

Her work has been recognized through awards and distinctions from Canadian and American Psychological Associations.
In addition, she is also committed to services which enhance the community, including serving as vice-chair of the board to a Vancouver-based, internationally partnered, not-for-profit organization to assist women in their efforts to return to the workforce. She is on the Employee Assistance Society of North America Advocacy committee, and is a mentor to the UBC Sauder School of Business MBA students.

Craig Thompson is Chief Executive Officer for Homewood Human Solutions™. He brings over 25 years of employee assistance and disability management experience to his leadership role. He also offers insight as a member of several industry boards, and for the past five years has been a member of the Health, Work and Wellness Conference Program Committee.
His insight is a result of his years of experience as well as his unique blend of hands-on expertise. His career, which includes stays in both Ontario and B.C., has seen progressively responsible roles in a range of areas including as a clinician, clinical manager, account manager, and business development lead at the national level.
Prior to Homewood Human Solutions™, Craig's track record in senior level positions includes his role as Vice President, Operations and Sales for CHC-Working Well, where he developed and managed national disability management programs, health information services, and a range of behavioural health services. Patrick's interest in our ability to produce language led him to investigate what happens when that ability fails to develop adequately in childhood or is lost later in life. He has helped people at every stage of life with their communication needs. Patrick returned to Columbia Speech and Language Services, where he had done a practicum as part of his graduate studies, after six years of working for the Vancouver Coastal Health Authority with both children and adults.
Patrick's primary areas of practice are in children's speech therapy (speech and language delays and disorders; treatment of children with autism spectrum disorders and Asperger's syndrome), stuttering therapy (with specialized training in the Lidcombe Stuttering Treatment Program for early childhood stuttering), and adult speech therapy (acquired brain injury rehabilitation). He is on the Registry of Autism Service Providers (RASP) with ACT Autism Community Training; therefore, autistic children he sees are typically eligible for MCFD funding.

Sarah has a long-standing passion for both language and rehabilitation. Therefore, a career in speech-language pathology has been a natural way for her to combine both loves. She enjoys the challenge of creating tailored programs to help her clients. Her enthusiasm and energy make her a hit with children of all ages.
Sarah works primarily in children's therapy (speech and language delays and disorders). Autism treatment is a particular interest of hers. She welcomes pre-school and school-aged children with autism as well as French speaking clients to her caseload. As a Registered Autism Service Provider (RASP) with Autism Community Training- BC ( ACT-BC) her clients with autism are typically eligible for MCFD funding.

Ramanjit believes that the ability to communicate is the most fundamental thing that connects people with the world around them. What she enjoys most about her job is the opportunity to meet such a diverse range of clients and create therapy programs that target each person's individual strengths and personality. She loves to see the effect that speech-language therapy can have in helping a client re-engage in everyday life and reconnect with their loved ones.
Ramanjit works in the area of adult therapy (acquired brain injury rehabilitation and swallowing rehabilitation), as well providing aphasia group treatment for a portion of the year. She provides assessment and speech therapy services in both English and Punjabi. She is actively involved in supervision of student clinical practicums from the University of British Columbia.

Before Columbia, Wendy worked as a speech-language therapist in the brain injury program at GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre where she first started as a practicum student in 1980. She has also worked at Vancouver General Hospital, Surrey Memorial Hospital, and the George Pearson Centre and has taught courses at Douglas College and at UBC in both the Special Education Department and in the School of Audiology and Speech Sciences. She remained at GF Strong part-time for Columbia's first two years, and in 1989, left GF Strong to focus on the expansion of Columbia. The Insurance Corporation of B.C. had started referring clients with brain injuries to Columbia and a growing number of people were interested in stuttering treatment. Eventually Wendy contracted the services of 12 additional speech-language pathologists with specialized areas of practice.
Wendy is an honourary clinical assistant professor in the Faculty of Medicine's School of Audiology and Speech Sciences at the University of B.C. where she is a sessional instructor.
She also offers her services to lawyers and insurers as a medical-legal witness in court for personal injury and medical malpractice cases. She assesses speech and language problems and describes to the court how people's lives are affected by communication challenges.
In the past, speech-language therapists rarely appeared in court; however, since Wendy started offering this service, lawyers and insurers are understanding the importance of communication. In addition to her clinical contact with clients, one of Wendy's favourite parts of her job is having the privilege of working with a talented, committed and bright team of therapists. She has now celebrated her 30th year in practice.
"Communication is what allows us to participate in society on many levels - at work and at play and at school. It's never hard for me to convince people of the value of speech therapy because I really believe in it," Wendy says.

A member of the Ontario Bar (Osgoode Hall), Jean-Marc has a Masters in Health Administration and BA from Dalhousie University. However, he began his career as a professional hockey player for the Hartford Whalers.
Before joining Shepell·fgi, Jean-Marc worked for Medcan Health Management for nine years, helping to create the country's largest provider of executive health services. Jean Marc managed the Medcan Clinic and served as Medcan's Senior Vice President and General Manager, Corporate Services.
Jean-Marc joined Shepell·fgi in 2005 and has played a key leadership role in the development, growth and success of Shepell·fgi's Health Management businesses.
While at Medcan he led the development of working relationships with First Nation communities in advancing health management projects in their communities and establishing joint venture opportunity in the delivery of health management services. He still serves as the President of Innu-Med, which was recently awarded an Atlantic Canada Aboriginal Award for their commitment to the Aboriginal Business community.
Jean-Marc is a sought after speaker on health management issues globally, using his direct experience in healthcare to ensure Shepell·fgi is providing unique and effective programs to manage the wellness of our customer's workforce.

Neil King comes to Shepell·fgi with an Honours degree in Business from Wilfrid Laurier University and an MBA degree from the University of Toronto Rotman School of Management.
He is a recipient of the University of Toronto's Arbor Award, and has worked with the University to launch a graduate scholarship of up to $50,000 to MBA students who demonstrate a commitment to the not-for-profit sector.
Neil brings a breadth of experience in sales and marketing to Shepell·fgi. Before joining the organization, Neil worked in sales leadership positions at ADP and Wolters Kluwer Health, where he managed sales for six years in Canada and the Western US. While at Wolters Kluwer Health, Neil worked extensively with his team to deliver evidence based medicine tools and content for hospitals and medical schools. He has opened up and run sales offices in Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, Washington, San Francisco and Dallas. His international experience includes working in Latin America, with experience in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Peru.
Neil oversees the Business Development team at Shepell·fgi for both Canada and the US. He uses his extensive sales and marketing background and business acumen to ensure his team works in a consultative manner to deliver solutions that strengthen the health and productivity of organizations across North America and globally.
Neil enjoys skating, skiing and biking with his wife and two children.

Karen began with the Shepell·fgi as Vice President Marketing and was named Senior Vice President of Business Development and Marketing in 2003. Karen was recently recognized for her outstanding work in this area, and named a Who's Who In Workplace Health by Working Well Magazine and Rogers Media. Karen is also a member of the American Marketing Association, the International Association of Business Communicators and the Conference Board of Canada.
Karen has been a featured speaker at numerous conferences and seminars, has published articles in periodicals including Benefits Canada and Benefits & Pensions Monitor, and is often featured in the national media to speak on workplace health and productivity issues.
Karen is noted for her unique approach in treating health in the workplace as a business issue, bringing quantitative figures to show how an investment in a healthy workplace drives productivity and offsets disability costs to a company's bottom line.

Zahid Salman is Executive Vice President responsible for the Ontario and Western Canada Regions as well as General Manager, leading our Shepell·fgi Health Management business.
Zahid joined our organization in 2008 and is based in Toronto. He is an actuary and has nearly 20 years of experience in the HR consulting and outsourcing industry in which he has held a number of senior positions, both nationally and globally.
Before joining our organization, he was the Executive Vice-President for another major consulting firm for two years. Prior to that, he spent 12 years with another major professional services firm where he held a variety of roles including Chief Operating Officer in Canada.
Zahid has FSA and FCIA designations, and holds a degree in Actuarial Science from the University of Western Ontario. Throughout his career, he has continued to actively serve clients and has been a speaker and author on industry issues, while also presenting at plan sponsor education sessions. In addition, Zahid has taught at the Humber College Centre for Employee Benefits.
He is currently a Vice-Chair of the Board of Saint Elizabeth Health Care Foundation, and also serves on the Board of the Alzheimer Society of York Region.

Prior to his role as General Manager, Shepell·fgi, Stephen was Executive Vice-President of Human Resources and Organizational Development for Morneau Shepell Inc. In this role, he was responsible for ensuring that our people capacity and capability continued to enable the business strategy of our organization.
Stephen has more than 20 years of senior executive business and HR management experience in large Canadian-based organizations. He has led global HR teams in large-scale growth initiatives and major transitions, as well as executing on the management of specific functions such as pension and benefits, workplace health and the leadership of the total HR function.
He holds an Honours Business Administration degree from the Ivey Business School, University of Western Ontario. He is also a member of the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA).
