Krishnan Suthanthiran also owns healthcare company Best Medical International Inc. and Kitsault, a former mining town in northwestern British Columbia.
As head of Best Medical International, which he founded in 1977, Suthanthiran has spent his life developing medical technology to treat cancer, which his father died of in India when Suthanthiran was a young man.
He has built a medical clinic and school in his hometown of Dindigul, in southern India, and plans for more around the world. He also funds about 100 scholarships every year in recognition of the small loan he once received that saved him from working at his father's grocery store.
"I'm on a mission to revolutionize health care and education," says Suthanthiran.
Krishnan was born in Southern India. As a young man, he moved to Canada to attend Carleton University in Ottawa. After completing his masters in Aerospace Engineering, he took pre-med courses at the University of Toronto and worked for an oncologist in the U.S..
In 1977, he founded Virginia-based Best Medical International, and over the past three decades has grown Best and its affiliated companies into major manufacturers and distributors of health care products globally. Today Mr. Suthanthiran has business interests in a wide variety of industries throughout North America and Europe, including a recent purchase of the entire town of Kitsault in Northern BC.
Then, following his purchase of Kitsault, in June of 2005, Mr. Suthanthiran purchased ATV Productions Ltd. and immediately founded a sister company, Best Entertainment Corp., to facilitate international distribution of television and movies. The two companies were merged into one, for which he serves as Chairman of the Board and Executive Producer.
His goal is to create and showcase non-violent entertainment through an annual Mahatma Gandhi film and television festival at Kitsault.
"I feel I have the opportunity, the ability and I have the finances to do something great," Suthanthiran says. "We don't take anything with us. We come into this world with nothing and we leave with nothing. But we do leave a mark."

Devin Lund is a graduate of digital video production at Columbia Academy here in Vancouver, BC. He is also a consummate videographer and will do anything to get the shot. Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Dave found his own calling in life through Algonquin College's Interactive Multimedia Program in 2005. It was there that he learned most of the skills and principles now being put to use in our post production, web and graphics departments. Theresa Copeland joined the McLean Group of Companies in 1995 as an accountant at their head office. In 2000, Theresa transferred to the VFS base where took on the diverse accounting duties required by VFS and its sister company, Pacific Backlot Services.
Today, Theresa oversees payables, receivables, all customer billing, and day-to-day cash flow management for both operations and for a number of other McLean Group companies. As Assistant Controller, Theresa also assists in the preparation of annual budgets for VFS and PBS in partnership with the Controller.

Teagan Vincze joined Vancouver Film Studios as Office Administrator in 2006. She is responsible for front office PR, boardroom bookings, office supplies, and for the administration of Dreamweave, the studios' on-site gym. Teagan also provides back-up assistance to the accounting and marketing departments.
Prior to joining VFS, Teagan Vincze studied acting at the Lyric School of Drama in Vancouver. In 2006, she appeared in a Leo-nominated student film and, more recently, worked as an actor in an MOW for Insight Film Production's entitled “Trust". In 2008, Teagan performed in a short film, “Edna Brown", commissioned by the Vancouver chapter of Women in Film & Television, an international non-profit society.
