Mike S. Zafirovski succeeded Bill Owens, a former U.S. Navy admiral as president and CEO on Nov. 15th 2005.

Zafirovski, 51, has a 30-year career of leadership with two of the world's highest profile corporate innovators, General Electric and Motorola. From 1975 to 2000, Zafirovski served with General Electric in a succession of senior executive positions in a number of the company's key divisions: president and CEO, GE Lighting; president, GE Capital Mortgage Corporation; and president and CEO, GE Capital Fleet Services.

In 2000, Zafirovski joined Motorola, first as president and CEO of the Personal Communications Sector, and from 2002 to 2005, as president and chief operating officer of Motorola.

Zafirovski, a native of Macedonia, emigrated to the United States in 1969. He is married to Robin, and they have three sons. He is a director of The Boeing Corporation as well as a variety of philanthropic and educational institutions.

Zafirovski has also been appointed president and CEO of Nortel Networks Limited, (NNL), the Company's principal operating subsidiary, and a director to the Boards of the Company and NNL, effective November 15, 2005.

Bev joined BC Hydro in 1997 as Manager, Key Accounts. In 2001, Bev was appointed Vice-President, Power Smart and, in November 2002, she was appointed Senior Vice-President of Distribution.

In this capacity, Bev was responsible for customer service, Power Smart, operation and maintenance of the distribution system and, planning, acquisition and risk management of a diverse portfolio of energy resources.

Bev was appointed Senior Vice-President, Customer Care and Conservation in May 2006, and Executive Vice-President in May 2007. She is focussing on managing long-term energy planning and acquisition requirements, plus developing a new Power Smart Plan.

He worked with lawyers, accountants and bank managers negotiating funds and with large corporate clients such as Intrawest and Snowshoe resorts, with whom he achieved first sales orders of $60,000 each while also managing an outside sales force across Canada and the U.S.

Jay's adult life began in 1996 when he moved to Whistler BC to become an internationally recognized professional freestyle snowboarder. He represented his 11 sponsors while competing in international and world cup contests in North America and Asia and trained national and junior national teams in BC and in Korea.

January 3, 2007 - VRB Power Systems announced the appointment of Brian Beck as Vice President Sales and Marketing.

Mr Beck has over 30 years experience in the electrical industry in Europe and North America and has been actively involved in the restructuring of electricity supply on both continents.

Most recently Mr Beck was General Manager of Caterpillar Energy Solutions where he had responsibility for initiatives in power quality and distributed generation. He also gained extensive management experience with Holec, a major European electrical engineering manufacturer, where he became CEO of its U.K. subsidiaries.

Brian Beck is a chartered engineer, registered with the European Federation of National Engineering Associations (FEANI), a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, the IEEE, and the Institution of Diesel and Gas Turbine Engineers.
