Terry joined Manning Elliott as a principal in early 2003 and was made a partner in January 2005. He was a partner for 18 years in a local Vancouver firm and, previously, had 10 years of experience with a large international firm.
His clients include private companies, public companies, professionals, not-for-profit organizations, trusts and individuals. These clients have been in many different industries and professions.
The following services are provided by Terry and he is actively looking for new clients in the following areas: audit (or assurance) and accounting; business advisory services; tax planning and returns and personal financial planning.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia in 1974; became a CA in 1976; and obtained a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 1999. Terry has served as a seminar leader to other CA's in B.C. for over ten years, teaching about current accounting and assurance standards during a time when the profession has experienced major changes in these standards.
He served as a member of various committees of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of B.C. over 15 years between 1985 and 2000. Terry has also been a board member of two registered charities, Western Institute for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Salvation Army Southview Lodge and Terrace, in the past.
He has been a member of one of the Rotary Clubs in Vancouver for 18 years and enjoys serving the community in Vancouver.

Jim started his career with a small firm in Vancouver before heading south to the United States for several years during the great technology boom. From 1997 to 2000 he worked for Ernst & Young LLP (“E&Y") as an Audit Supervisor in their Seattle, WA and Orange County, CA offices. During 2002 Jim held a similar position with PriceWaterhouse Coopers LLP in Seattle, WA. Jim's industry experience included the position of Financial Reporting Manager with Rainbow Technologies Inc., a NASDAQ listed company based in Irvine, CA. One of Jim's prime objectives is to provide best practice solutions to clients based on his diversified experience.
Jim became a licensed CPA in the State of Washington in 1998. He completed the Uniform CPA exam with a ranking in the top 1% out of approximately 57,000 candidates across the United States. Jim obtained his CA designation in 2002.

A Senior Partner at Manning Elliott LLP, Robin brings more than thirty years of accounting experience to the firm. His practice is primarily with small to medium sized owner-managed businesses and family holding and investment companies.
Robin formed Manning Elliott's predecessor firm in 1976, having previously worked for a Jim Pattison company and Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) in Vancouver and San Francisco. He received his Chartered Accountant designation in 1969, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia (1965).
Heavily involved with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia affairs, Robin is a member or past member of a number of their committees, including Discipline Tribunal, Professional Liability Task Force, FCA Nominating, Regulatory Policy, Professional Development, and is a past President (2003) of the Institute.
He is currently a member of a National Committee for professional liability insurance. He was elected a Fellow in 1991. He is also a member of the Trust and Estate Practitioners Society as well as the Canadian Tax Foundation.
When not at the office, Robin is very involved in the community. He is a Director and past President of the Central City Foundation and Central City Mission Society, as well as past President and former Director of the Arthritis Society of British Columbia and the Vancouver Lawn Tennis and Badminton Club.
He is on the executive of the Alumni association of the University of British Columbia, and is a current member of the Sovereign Order of St. John. Robin is also a director of a large real estate development company.
Recreationally, Robin plays golf and enjoys retreating with his wife, Eleanor, to their property on the Sunshine Coast of BC.
