Wayne Morrison joined Dowco in January 2003, bringing with him over 25 years international experience in the steel industry. Originally from Australia, Wayne began his detailing career in Townsville in 1975.

Hugh Dobbie has been engaged in the steel industry since 1956. Part of a class of 17 students hired by Dominion Bridge Company (one of the largest fabricators in Canada at that time), he was trained in the traditional way as a steel detailer and thereafter furthered his education through evening, correspondence and university courses.

He is a Registered Steel Detailer (RSD) with the Steel Detailers Institute of B.C. (SDIBC) and is certified with the Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of B.C. (ASTTBC). He obtained his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, B.C.

A strong proponent of education, Hugh is past chair of the National Steel Detailing Committee for the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction (CISC), and is a member of the Marketing Committee for the CISC. He is a member of the Advisory Committees at the B.C. Institute of Technology (BCIT), at Vancouver Community College, and at Cariboo College in B.C.
He is a Council Member of the ASTTBC., and chairs the Board of Examiners for the SDIBC. Hugh is also a member of the Adjunct Sub-Committee currently rewriting the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) Detailers Manual.
