General Manager Corinne has worked within the demolition trade since 1974, originally with a company that still is active in the industry today. Throughout the years she has noticed the changes in the industry with regard to the environmental issues and worker's safety.
Corinne's experience in this industry is second to none, her involvement is "hands on" for each project, participating in the proposal stages, contracts, planning and scheduling of worker's, administration and takes a particular interest in project analysis. As noted with previous projects outlined briefly above - records of volumes and job costing are her fortes.
Corinne understands the equipment and can demonstrate to prospective clients "the how to" when it comes to their project. Corinne has had the opportunity to be on the Board of Directors with the Used Building Materials Association for a two year tenure.
The board was formed by members of the demolition industry throughout North America. Currently, she is on an advisory committee with the Provincial Government and the Greater Vancouver Regional District who's mandate is "to encourage methods of recycling and materials re-use - instead of using landfill" and as well focusing on the abatement of hazardous materials.
Corinne is also actively working with a task force for the Provincial Government with regards to "Tax Shifting" for used building materials. Corinne has spoken at the following conferences with regard to leading the "demolition industry" into the new millennium and focusing on the "green approach":

Doug Paul, P.Eng, Vice President of Project Development and a Principal of Briar Design & Construction, has over two decades management experience working with, and meeting the expectations of clients. Doug first began working with Briar in 1995, when they built their first home for resale.
Prior to joining Briar, Doug spent many years working in senior management roles for a Fortune 1,000, multi national corporation. His particular field of expertise was the design and manufacture of solutions for clients in the heavy duty transportation and pleasure marine markets. It was during this period that he honed his skills in project management, product design and business development. Doug earned a reputation for understanding client needs and creating unique solutions which went on to win wide acceptance in the marketplace.
Doug grew up on the North Shore and is a long time resident of Vancouver's Westside. His appreciation of the area's special qualities was founded during his years at UBC where he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After owning a number of homes in Kitsilano and the Dunbar areas, Doug has a keen sense of the Westside housing market and an understanding of renovations-what works and how to create value.
Doug currently lives in the Dunbar area with his wife and young daughter. He is active in his daughter's daycare and is a supporter of community organizations such as the Vancouver Aquarium and Science World.
